This is the event deposit for private parties/events at Queen City Clay. This product is only to be purchased by customers who have already confirmed a date with our Special Events Coordinator, Hilary Nauman. If you would like to schedule a private event, and have not yet discussed dates/details with Hilary, please email hnauman@queencityclay.com or call (513) 871-2529. 


Terms of the Contract


Reserving the Event

The headcount of participants is due at the time of deposit. Any changes to the final count of participants must be submitted at least SEVEN BUSINESS DAYS prior to the event. QCC will schedule appropriate staffing, and reserve wheels to accommodate the headcount listed above. Therefore, it is necessary that QCC charge for the full headcount, regardless of absences.  Any change to the final headcount after seven business days prior will be charged a $100 change fee. 



Workshop price $35.00 per person unless otherwise arranged. Price includes clay, glaze, and firing for one finished piece. Additional pieces may be fired for $5 per piece.



Check in with the front desk first thing on the day of your event. The deposit payment will be put towards the balance for your event. If your party is paying individually, please plan to come a little early to pay before your event begins. Contact person should let the staff know how your group wants to handle payments. Our retail department closes at 5 pm. If your event begins after 5 pm, please make arrangements to pay prior to you event 



If you need to cancel your event you must speak with a member of the Queen City Clay Staff, phone messages and emails will not be accepted.The deposit is refundable up to 7 business days prior to your event. If the event is cancelled within 7 business days the deposit will not be refunded.

In the event of inclement weather or other emergencies that cause Queen City Clay to close the studio, the Primary contact person will be made aware and arrangements will be made to reschedule. If the studio is open, the event will go on as planned.



Please be aware we are in a warehouse where it is cool in the winter and warm in the summer.

Participants should dress appropriately and in clothes that can get dirty.

We unfortunately cannot guarantee pieces will be finished by a certain date. At your event you will be asked to fill out an event form that will be kept with your piece. Please write legibly and include your full name and contact information. This will ensure your piece will be return to you. We always return finished work as quickly as possible, but this generally takes at least two weeks. We will always call as soon as all pieces are finished.
