Intro to Clay

Interested in trying a clay class but not sure whether wheel throwing or handbuilding is right for you?  This class will give you a taste of both worlds.  We’ll start out handbuilding, learning some basic pinch, coil, and slab forming techniques.  We’ll take a week to talk about different clay bodies, firing temperatures, and glazing.  Then we’ll finish off the class with three weeks on the wheel, creating mugs or bowls.  Clay and tools included in your first Intro level class at QCC.
