Summer Intensive-Form and Surface

Join our staff for a week long workshop diving into form & surface. We will focus on hand building methods learning to create several types of unique templates. We will then discover ways to translate our 2 dimensional ideas onto clay using contemporary and traditional surface techniques. You will learn how to create you own custom silkscreens, and a variety of other printmaking techniques including underglaze monoprinting. We will utilize the cricut to create custom stencils and experiment with various commercial products like underglaze watercolors, pencils and chalks to achieve more painterly surfaces. All materials will be provided, just bring your tools and some ideas!

Teachers, get up to 3 graduate credit hours or 36 contact hours.
