Workshop- Ron Philbeck & Amy Sanders

 

During this two day workshop Amy and Ron will each demonstrate how to make a number ofutilitarian forms. Ron's pots are primarily made on the wheel, while Amy hand builds herforms from soft slabs of clay. Each potter will discuss, in detail, the development of theircurrent bodies of work,firing methods, and decorative techniques. Ron will demonstrateusing wax resist and underglaze to decorate his forms with original drawings from hissketchbooks. Amy will demonstrate her use of a wide variety of stamps and texture tools,and also discuss compositional decision making.  Amy and Ron have been friends for over 20 years. They enjoy demonstrating together andhave recently worked on a body of collaborative pots. Expect fun conversation and sharingof their love of clay during the workshop.
