Wheel Throwing for Kids

6-Week classes starting the week of October 16th*

Tues. or Wed. 4:30pm - 6pm

OR Sat. 1:30pm - 3pm

7-12 yrs

Lower Level Wheel Classroom

Learn to make on the pottery wheel! This class will cover wedging, pulling, trimming, use of tools, surface techniques, attachments and more. Basic small to medium vessels will be taught (ex. cylinders and bowls) with attachments (ex. handles). Students will also learn basic decoration and glazing techniques. Each student will work on their own wheel. Returning students will be given new challenges as well as have a chance to practice their technique and improve their skills.

Students should wear old clothes and tie back hair - the pottery wheel can be messy!

Tools, materials and firing included.

*There will be no class the week of Thanksgiving, November 20th-25th
