This class is a  step by step exploration of soda and wood firing for first time students, specifically designed for those who have not taken an atmospheric firing class before.  Bring some cone 10 bisqueware to the first class, as we will be loading and firing the soda kiln week 1.  Each student will get 1.5 cubic feet in the kiln, so your pots should fit in a spce that’s about 12” high x 12” wide x 16” long.  Learn how to prep pieces for atmospheric firings, along with the loading and kiln maintnence.  We’ll have a couple weeks to make pieces after our initial soda firing, and will then load and fire the wood/soda cross draft kiln at the end.
