This class will provide an intermediate to advanced approach to ceramic handbuilding using coil and slab techniques. We will learn tips to achieve success at larger scale while working on projects that suit each student’s individual interests. Emphasis on research, planning and small skill-building exercises over the first few weeks will shift into guided independent work on a medium to large-scale project of choice. Class will cover basic building, textural surfaces, underglaze and glaze applications.
