Have you ever made the perfect pot, only to have an S-crack develop in the base, threatening to ruin your creation? Have you ever pulled a set of mugs out of a bisque kiln, only to find that the handles have slightly cracked? Ever wished that you had a product that could seamlessly fill in these oh-so-minor, yet oh-so-major flaws? The Ceramic Shop has you covered with our brand-new line of CRACK POTS!

Designed for a variety of clay colors and firing temperatures, Crack Pot is a clay-like material made for filling in your bisqueware cracks - the first of its kind! Designed as a complimentary product to our popular Ware Repair, this paste filler is easy to use. Fill the hairline or S-cracks on your piece with ready-to-use wet Crack Pot filler, and work the paste into the crack, chip, or hole with a small tool to achieve a tight fill. Let your piece air dry, then re-bisque before glazing.* After firing, glaze your piece. Please note that we recommend applying a bit more glaze to the area of your piece that has been repaired with Crack Pot, as it may soak up more of your glaze than the rest of your piece. Fire your piece as you normally would, and no one ever has to know that your beautiful mug or vase or bowl was almost sacrificed to the reclaim bin!

Crack Pot is available in three different clay tones - red, buff, and white - and two different firing temperatures - low or high. Simply select the Crack Pot that fits your studio's needs in terms of color and firing range.

Notes: Keep from freezing. Different colors of Crack Pot can be combined for custom clay matches.

Size: 2 oz

Made in the USA and conforms to ASTM D-4236

* We recommend re-bisquing because this will allow you to sand down any excess Crack Pot filler, and in our extensive tests, we have found that glaze adheres much better to this product once it has been fired.
