Transparent Matt is a satin glaze that works well with surface decoration. If you spend all that time painting with Velvet Underglaze, make sure you use this to reduce the glare of a glossy glaze. Apply to Cone 04 bisque and fire to Cone 05.
Amaco's LM Series is one of the most pleasing for decorative art pottery and tile. These glazes provide a smooth, satin finish and move very little during firing so colors do not run. Because they are non-flowing, the LM Series is well suited for some unique types of decoration where distinctly separate colors are desired; works well for both pottery and sculptural ware. All are AP Non-Toxic and Dinnerware Safe. LM-10‚ like all transparent mattes, will become cloudy if applied too heavily: use 1-2 coats only.
Works great with any AMACO underglaze product. Apply thin over texture and surface decorations to prevent pooling. This glaze can become semi-opaque when it is thick.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
