Used to remove controlled amounts of clay from wheel-thrown and sculpture pieces. The shaped cutting heads are made from heavy stainless steel ribbon with sharpened edges.
With an extra heavy 1/4” wide double-edged stainless steel ribbon and sturdy contoured handle for a sure grip, this tool is designed for heavy-duty cutting work. Loop is 1/2" wide.
The term “ribbon” refers to the fact that the cutting loop on this tool is made of a flattened metal ribbon with sharpened edges. Ribbon tools are used for cutting, shaping, trimming and hollowing both wheel-thrown and sculptural forms.
