The BW-18LC Cast Iron Banding Wheel's one-piece design features solid cast-iron construction, a rust-resistant blue paint coating, and sealed ball bearings for smooth rotation without wobbling or sticking. It has a heavy duty head with the majority of the weight around the outer perimeter to create a flywheel effect. Once the head is spun, it will maintain the thrust for the longest possible time just like a kickwheel. The larger the diameter of the banding wheel, the longer it will hold the thrust. This is extremely beneficial for glaze work. Sealed ball bearings provide smooth even rotation.
