Ultra Violet Velvet Underglaze is a soft, pinkish-purple at cone 05, darkens slightly at 5, then lightens when fired to 10 but still maintains its violet shade. A clear glaze accentuates the color of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
