Ribbon tools are used for cutting, shaping, trimming and hollowing both wheel-thrown and sculptural forms.
These tools are used by potters and sculptors for medium duty clay cutting, shaping, and slicing. These 8” ribbon tools consist of smooth 8" hardwood handles with 1/8" wide high-strength stainless steel ribbons held firmly by brass ferrules.
The term “ribbon” refers to the fact that the cutting loops on this tool are made of flattened metal ribbons with sharpened edges.
