Ribbon tools are used for cutting, shaping, trimming and hollowing both wheel-thrown and sculptural forms.
The term “ribbon” refers to the fact that the cutting loops on this tool are made of flattened metal ribbons with sharpened edges. This tool consists of a smooth 8" hardwood handle with 1/8" wide high-strength stainless steel ribbons held firmly by brass ferrules. Suitable for medium-duty cutting, shaping, and slicing work.
