Light Blue Liquid Underglaze is a pastel blue that is powdery and soft at cone 05, becomes deeper in color and fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface at cone 6, and maintains a sky blue tone with a soft sheen all the way to cone 10.
Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss glaze can give Light Blue an impeccably smooth surface with good color.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
