Dark Blue Liquid Underglaze is a deep navy that is a dark cobalt at cone 05, becomes a soft midnight blue and fluxes into a glaze-like surface at cone 6, and becomes almost black with a soft sheen at cone 10.
Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss glaze can give Dark Blue an impeccably smooth surface and intensify its color.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
