Dark Red Liquid Underglaze is crimson color that is light and powdery at cone 05, becomes a beautiful, deep red and fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface at cone 6, and darkens slightly while maintaining a soft sheen at cone 10.
Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss glaze can give Dark Red an impeccably smooth surface with good color.
Tableware producers must test all finished ware to establish dinnerware status, due to possible variations in firing temperature and contamination.
